NHL best bets today (Jets poised to take down Wild)
There are just days left in the NHL regular season, which means we have to take advantage of every opportunity to make some money.
We pulled off a 3-0 sweep with my bets last night , so let’s try to keep the momentum going.
As always, I have three bets locked in. It’s time to dive into them.
Best NHL bets today
- Jets +100 vs. Wild
- Avalanche -110 vs. Oilers
- Kraken/Golden Knights UNDER 6.5 (-120)
Jets +100 vs. Wild
The Winnipeg Jets have been playing some fantastic hockey as of late. Over their last 10 games, they rank fourth in the NHL in expected goals percentage and Connor Hellebuyck has posted an astounding .948 save percentage in April.
Meanwhile, the same can’t be said for the Minnesota Wild, who are 22nd in expected goals over the same stretch.
I think the wrong team is favored in this matchup so I’ll back the Jets as small underdogs.
Avalanche -110 vs. Oilers
This game could be a late season preview of the future Western Conference Finals, and with tonight’s game set to take place in Colorado, I’ll give the Avalanche a slight advantage in this spot.
Both teams are similar in almost every statistic, but I have to trust the Avs goaltending more. The starting goaltender for the Oilers, Stuart Skinner, enters the game with a .912 save percentage on the season, while Alexander Georgiev of the Avs has a save percentage of .919.
With the odds set as a pick’em, I think there’s some value to be had on the Avalanche.
Kraken/Golden Knights UNDER 6.5 (-120)
These have been two of the best defensive teams in the NHL over their last 10 games. When it comes to the Seattle Kraken, they’ve specifically been the very best defensive team over that stretch. They’re first in expected goals against (1.95) over the past few weeks, and the Golden Knights aren’t far behind them, coming in at 7th at 2.73.
I’m surprised this total is up at 6.5, so I absolutely LOVE the UNDER in this spot as I expect a defensive battle.
