Athletics vs. Orioles prediction and odds for Wednesday, April 12 (Bet on plenty of offense)
Everyone expected the Oakland Athletics to be bad this season and they have lived up to expectations, going 2-9 through their first 11 games.
Tonight, they’ll take on the Baltimore Orioles for the third game in a four game series with the O’s taking each of the first two games.
Last night’s game was an offensive shootout with Baltimore eventually winning by a final score of 12-8. I expect a similar outcome tonight, so let’s bank on plenty of runs.
Let’s dive into the odds and then I’ll give you my best bet.
Athletics vs. Orioles odds, run line, and total
Athletics vs. Orioles prediction and pick
If you want to see an ugly pitching matchup, tune into today’s A’s vs. O’s game, cause it’s gonna be gross.
Ken Waldichuk gets the start for Oakland, and he sports an 0-2 record with a 14.54 ERA through his first two starts. Dean Kramer gets the start for Baltimore, and he has a 10.13 ERA.
I have no desire to back either of these terrible pitchers, so instead, I’d recommend betting on the OVER.
The Orioles offense has been a strong out of the gates, ranking sixth in runs per game at 5.64 and 5th in OPS at 0.796. Leaning on that offense will be huge when it comes to getting the total over 9.
If Waldichuk of the A’s does survive his start, Oakland will have to turn to it’s bullpen which has a 5.79 ERA heading into today’s game.
It’s going to be a bad game, so let’s just sit back and root for runs in this American League matchup.
