Best NRFI and YRFI bets today (Clayton Kershaw is dominant in 1st inning)

Strap in, because we have a full day of MLB action ahead of us.

In this article, I’m going to break down my favorite NRFI and YRFI bet for today’s slate. If you aren’t familiar, NRFI and YRFI bets are on the first inning alone. That means these bets are exciting and quick, so you don’t need to watch the entire game.

If you’re betting on the NRFI you’ll be rooting for no runs to be scored in the first inning. If you’re on the YRFI, you’re cheering for at least one run to be scored in the first.

Let’s dive into them.

NRFI and YRFI bets for Wednesday, April 12th

  • Reds/Braves YRFI (+110)
  • Dodgers/Giants NRFI (-155)

Reds/Braves YRFI (+110)

The Cincinnati Reds may be a completely unimpressive team, but they’ve managed to be hot in the first inning, ranking third in the Majors in first inning runs per game at 0.9. The Braves rank right behind them, coming in at fourth in that stat, averaging 0.83 first inning runs per game.

At plus-money, I’m going to root for both offenses to stay hot in the first inning tonight.

Dodgers/Giants NRFI (-155)

The Dodgers’ offense has been hot in the first inning this season, averaging 1.25 first inning runs per game, but I’m going to go against that narrative and bet on the NRFI for their game tonight against the Giants.

Clayton Kershaw gets the start for L.A., and he’s always performed well in the first inning, sporting a first inning ERA of 2.72 throughout his career including a 0.82 ERA in the first inning last year. Meanwhile, Alex Cobb of the Giants has yet to allow a first inning run this season.

Give me the NRFI in this NL West battle tonight.
